Bell and Brass metal products are extensively used in various function of marriage ceremony in Assamese society. The Dish (kahi), Bowl (bati), Pot (ghati) ,Small leg pot (lota), Big size bowl (chariya) , Long leg pot (kalah) etc. made of Bell and Brass metal are integral part of the Assamese culture. It is customery to give these Bell and Brass metal utensils with the bride. During the marriage night, a function called 'Baran' is performed where along with some clothes these utensils are offered to bridegroom by his father in law.

These wedding sets differ only with respect of variations in design and weight of Dish(kahi) and Bowl(bati). Rest of the items are same.
